Gift wrapping is one of my favorite things to do. While it’s often easy to throw a gift in a bag with some tissue, it really doesn’t take that much longer to gift wrap. I would classify myself as a last-minute wrapper (typically on Christmas Eve in front of the fire while watching a Christmas movie). Just because I’m wrapping last minute doesn’t mean I don’t like to apply some of my decorating rules to package wrapping. Here are a few examples of how you can take your wrapping to the next level.
1. Whimsical wrapping: Fun paper paired with a unique ornament on the bow makes your gift a hit. It’s like two presents in one because the ornament can go on the tree afterwards.
2. Rustic wrapping: I paired this plaid paper with a burlap bow and a birch ornament that is doubling as a package topper. I could of stopped there but to finish off this trio, I added our holly pick. What I love about this is the wire in the leaves that makes it flexible so I can bend it in any shape I want.
3. Simple and elegant wrapping: Brown paper packages tied up with string can be beautiful, although we prefer to add beautiful ribbon, some greenery and a little sparkle. This package went from ordinary to extraordinary with a simple extra touches.
4. Gift Card Wrapping: Gift cards don’t have to be a boring gift to give. Add them into a fun tin or miniature stocking and up your gift wrap game.
